We're going to help with Project Wee Care again this year.  However, due to COVID restrictions, we will be limited to cash donations.  We'll still adopt a family with at least four children and we'll have their information shortly.  If you want to give, use PayPal.me or venmo to ErinOberhauser - with the friends and family option - to send your donation.  The money raised will be used to purchase gift cards for the families in need.

UPDATE: we have raised $450 which will sponsor 'gifts' for six children.  If you have any other donations, please make them this week.

From Project Wee Care's website:

Each year our Project Wee Care volunteers have been helping local Millard area families in need since 2006. To date we have been there for over 13,000 of our neighbors when they needed a helping hand by providing needed clothing, food, and personal care items.

With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting everyday life, we thank you for your continued support.  Right now, Project Wee Care faces new challenges as we adapt to unprecedented circumstances.  However, in order to ensure the safety of our community and volunteers, we've made necessary modifications to our program that we'd like to share with you.

In years past we would have canned food & toiletry drives, raise funds to purchase perishable foods, and sponsors would adopt families and shop to supply some of the needed clothing for the children.

This Year, for everyone's safety, we are raising funds to provide vouchers to local grocery stores to provide needed food and toiletry items the family needs.  We will also ask sponsors to make a monetary donation to provide a gift card so the parents can shop for the needed clothing for their children.

The gift cards and vouchers will be given to the school counselor that referred the family to PWC so they can be given directly to the family you are sponsoring with your donations.
