We will be meeting at Vincenzo's on September 6th at 5:30 for a regularly scheduled meeting.

Rotary's Mission:

We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

President's Pen
We had a fantastic turnout at our 5th Tuesday Social at JoJo's Diner.  Thank you to everyone who invited a guest,  it was great to see so many.

We also heard from Julie from Rejuvenating Women.  We all learned that there is a huge, and growing need for their services in our area and that sex trafficking comes in many forms.

This week we will be joined by David Baker and possibly a colleague or two from Team Mates.  He will be sharing with our club how Team Mates can positively impact the lives of youth and their mentors alike.

I hope to see you all there.

Question of the Week

Do you have someone in your life that you consider a mentor?
Imagine Rotary Tour
The Imagine Rotary Tour will be coming to the Omaha Area on October 3rd.

This is a chance for Omaha Rotary Clubs to show off their service projects and get to know some of the District and National Executives.  The tour will likely start downtown and work its way west.  We will post the Itinerary once it has been finalized.

"Give Back" Fundraiser
The "Together, We Give Back" fundraiser is coming together.  The date is October 15, from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Thunderhead Brewing Taproom.

Tickets will be 1 for $30 or 2 for $50.

A Bloody Mary Bar and Mexican food will be available, as well as auction items.

You can sign up now online and even buy your tickets online. Since we can only charge one price for the online ticket, if you buy 2 tickets, you will get a $10 'Give Back' credit at the event to spend on auction items or drinks.

Well Done Omaha Night!
Our club received two awards at the District Conference this year.  The first one was for hitting our Citation goals.  Our club was one of nine that hit their goals out of twenty clubs in our district.  The other award was for our level of participation in the Polio Plus Fund contributions.  Both of these awards were achieved because of the leadership of Gretchen and the efforts of all of you throughout the year.  Congratulations!  Lets do it again this year.
Congratulations Bill Thoms!
Help me congratulate Bill Thoms on receiving a special award at the District Conference for his dedication to learning everything he could about DEI.
Rotary's Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Are we doing all that we can to make sure our club is welcoming to everyone, treating everyone with dignity and respect and allowing all voices to be heard?  That's part of Rotary's commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.  We may be a small club, but that means this is even more important that we are aware of all aspects of what this really means.  It's not just about the things we can see, but also about the things we can't see.

This is a leadership training opportunity - and will benefit not only you as a Rotarian, but will benefit the company you work for.  For more details continue reading.
