Join us at Vincenzo's for this week's meeting
President's Pen
You'll have a chance this week to see how Dennis Ritter will do as club president next year.  Please be there to support him!  (Dennis' President Elect training is March 26th)
Thank you for the club voting to support RYLA again this year. This year, I'll be a speaker at the event on Friday night - I've never actually attended before, so I'll have more information how just how much this impacts students.
The other topic on my mind is Rotary's commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. We have a very active District committee and I'd like to see our club take an active interest in it.  See the story below for details and what you can do.
Guess what's coming up?  5th Tuesday!  Our social this time will be at Clout Coffee and we'll have a chance to catch up with what Carole Sprunk has been up to .  Use the link below to sign up - guests and potential members are welcome.
Question of the Week
Who are you going to invite to an upcoming Rotary meeting?
March 29 2022 - 5th Tuesday
Join us for another great 5th Tuesday meeting - this time at Clout Coffee, owned by club member Carole Sprunk.  Sign up on our website by clicking here.
Guests and potential members are welcome to attend!
Weekly Meeting - April 5 2022
Our speaker on April 5th will be Art Zygielbaum.  Art and his wife Chris were recent dinner guests and I found out that while both of them worked at NASA, Art has an even better story to tell about his family. That's all the teaser your going to get - you'll have to come to hear the rest!
Art is a member of Lincoln 14 Rotary and also a Associate Professor Emeritus at UNL.
2022 RYLA

Our club will be sponsoring a student to be able to attend RYLA this year - I'll have more information soon on who it will be.  Registration for students closed on March 11 - but if you are interested in helping, contact Kathy Reiger, District committee chair for RYLA.

Tomorrow's Leaders Begin Today

Plans for the 2022 RYLA Camp are nearing completion.  We are excited to be hosting this "in person" 3 day leadership academy at Camp Kitaki in Louisville, Nebraska.  The sessions will begin at 12 noon on Friday, April 1 and conclude at 1:00 p.m. on  Sunday, April 3.
Continue reading to find out more about what is RYLA Camp, who is an ideal candidate and how to nominate a candidate.
Rotary's Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Are we doing all that we can to make sure our club is welcoming to everyone, treating everyone with dignity and respect and allowing all voices to be heard?  That's part of Rotary's commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.  We may be a small club, but that means this is even more important that we are aware of all aspects of what this really means.  It's not just about the things we can see, but also about the things we can't see.
This is a leadership training opportunity - and will benefit not only you as a Rotarian, but will benefit the company you work for.  For more details continue reading.
