The Rotary Omaha Night Club’s recent Casino Night Gala raised an impressive $20,000 in support of ENVY Volleyball’s mission to keep competitive volleyball accessible for Omaha youth. The event showcased the power of collaboration in service. The funds will provide financial aid, tournament fees, uniforms, equipment, and other essentials that empower young athletes to grow through teamwork, discipline, and positive coaching.

ENVY Executive Director, Mike Picard, alongside his wife, ENVY board president and Rotarian, Dr. Karalee Picard, together with Omaha Night Rotary Club President Mark Hobson, highlighting the close partnership between the nonprofit and Rotarians.

The Rotary Omaha Night Club’s October 2025 Casino Night Gala delivered both a memorable evening and a significant boost to local youth sports, culminating in a $20,000 donation to ENVY Volleyball. This gift underscores a growing community commitment to keeping high-quality, character-building volleyball opportunities accessible to families across Omaha.

A Night of Giving

Hosted as an Omaha Rotary Night–sponsored Casino Night Gala, the event brought together community leaders, families, and supporters for food, casino-style games, raffles, wine and bourbon pulls, and live and silent auctions. The gala was designed not only as a celebration of ENVY Volleyball’s rapid growth – as the fastest growing youth volleyball club in the United States, but as a strategic fundraiser to expand financial aid and program capacity for young athletes.

Impact of the $20,000 Gift

The $20,000 raised through the Casino Night Gala, led by Dr. Karalee Picard and the Rotary Night–ENVY committee, will be directed straight into ENVY’s mission-driven work. The funds will support financial aid for families, cover tournament fees and uniforms, and help purchase new and replacement equipment essential for training and competition. The donation will also help underwrite core operating expenses so ENVY can maintain high-quality coaching and programming while keeping fees as affordable as possible.

Advancing ENVY’s Mission

ENVY Volleyball operates as a nonprofit club dedicated to building self-confidence, sportsmanship, and inclusion through high-level, positive volleyball training for young athletes in the Omaha area. By lowering financial barriers and expanding financial aid, ENVY ensures that talent and desire—not family income—determine who gets to benefit from a positive club volleyball experience.

Community Momentum

The success of the Casino Night Gala reflects growing momentum behind both ENVY Volleyball and the Rotary Omaha Night Club’s commitment to youth and community service. As ENVY continues to add teams and deepen its programming, partnerships like this gala help secure the resources needed to reach more players, more families, and more neighborhoods across Omaha.
